This is a private dinner program features Shishimai-dance, an essential part of Japanese celebrations such as New Year's and festivals, and delicious Hokkaido cuisine.
Shishimai is one of Japanese traditional performing arts, performed by performers wearing lion costumes and dancing to the accompaniment, and is loved throughout Japan.
There are six options for the restaurant you visit.
"Ohsuke Bettei" - Kaiseki Dinner using Hokkaido's seasonal ingredience (for 2 to 12 people)
"Hokkaido Traditional Cuisine Restaurant Suginome" - Elegant Kaiseki Dinner in a historic stone building (for 2 to 10 people)
"Hokkai Shabu-Shabu" - Sukiyaki Dinner while overlooking at town of Susukino (for 2 to 12 people)
"Kita No Aji Ohsuke" - Enjoy the stage and Kaiseki Dinner on a custom-built Hinoki(Japanese cypress) stage (for 20 - 60 people)
"Otaru Bettei" - For a Dinner Party with a large hall (for 20 - 60 people)
This is for two hours program.
After an hour's dinner, Shishimai performer will apear on the stage and explain what Shishimai dance is and their music. Your guests will try Japanese traditional musical instruments too.
After learning about it, it is time for the show. Please enjoy the powerful lion dance.
Time to ask questions and photo shooting are offered.
Shishimai protects you from bad things by biting your head. Please try to get bitten on the head!
