We're going to visit four shrines that encircle Nakajima Park, a beloved oasis for Sapporo citizens.
People go to shrines to offer thanks for their blessings, cleanse their souls and bodies, and seek blessings of happiness and security.
In Japan, it is customary for visitors to shrines to receive a goshuin, a special seal or signature from a priest, which is collected in a goshuincho as a memento of their pilgrimage.
Goshuincho has become quite trendy, with beautiful and diverse designs available.
Each shrine offers its unique goshuin, making it a fun way to collect your memories of your visit.
We will prepare goshuincho for you.
Why don't you collect goshuin stamps at each shrine and create a memory of your trip?
Nakajima Park is one of Sapporo's oldest parks and has long been a beloved oasis for locals.
The park's pond, originally built as a reservoir, is popular for boating, especially among young people.
Historic buildings such as the Houheikan (a former guesthouse) and the Japanese garden with old tea house, add to its charm.
After touring the shrines, we'll have a wholesome rice lunch.
Join us on a tour of these shrines and the beautiful Nakajima Park.
