When local people buy rice in a bag, their children remake the used rice bag into a sled using stuff they can find in their houses. And then, they bring the sled, snacks, and onigiri rice balls to a snow-covered mountain.
Let's make your own sled, and go to a local park that has a steep slope snow-covered mountain with your local guide! This experience isn't only for children, but also adults will be engrossed in. For families and grown-ups, everyone will enjoy this tour!

    Meet your Sapporo Explorer under the Sapporo TV Tower.
  • 9:30-10:20
    Move to a workshop studio and make your sled.
    You will make a rice bag sled. When people buy rice in a plastic bag, people usually put rice in a rice box. Children use an empty rice bag and old news paper to create their sleds to play in the snow. It's simple enough to make your sled with the guide's easy lecture.
  • 10:20
    Go to a local park with your sled by the subway and walk!
  • 10:30-10:40
    Before taking the subway, let's stop by a convenience store to get some onigiri rice balls that you will enjoy on a snow-covered mountain.
  • 11:00-12:30
    Arrive at a park and play in the snow.
    Before the play, the guide will give you a lecture on how to play and keep you safe.
    After playing in the snow, you can take a break with onigiri rice balls.

    Leave the local park.
    Going back to Odori Koen station by the subway.

    The tour ends at Odori Koen station.
