Takafumi Itaya was born in Kushiro City, Hokkaido in 1978. From a young age, he loved getting up early with his family and having barbecues on the riverbed. Lake Shikotsu is one of Hokkaido’s most popular tourist destinations because of its nature and resort hotels, but Takafumi became a guide so that he could show people what it’s like to live there.
