Koichi Ogasawara Fisherman

Koichi Ogasawara uses drift barrel octopus fishing with the aim of improving the sustainability of the fishing industry in the small harbor town of Tomamae. This project has received FIP* certification, and Koichi hopes that the use of simple tools can lower barriers to entry and revitalize the Tomamae’s core industry for the good of the town and Hokkaido as a whole.
